  • Today is Ash Wednesday

    Wed 02 Mar 2022

Each year, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. In 2022, Ash Wednesday falls on March 2nd, today!  Ash Wednesday focuses the Christian’s heart on repentance and prayer.

Lent is a 40-day season (not counting Sundays) marked by repentance, fasting, reflection, and ultimately celebration. The 40-day period represents Christ’s time of temptation in the wilderness, where he fasted and was tempted.

Rev Claire will be leading our school service, today, with our older children.

  • Today is also Shrove Tuesday

    Tue 01 Mar 2022

Shrove Tuesday marks the last day before Lent - a period of 40 days whereby Christians traditionally fast or give up certain foods. The 40 days represent the time that Jesus spent fasting in the desert where he resisted temptations.

We hoped you enjoyed some pancakes!

  • Happy St David's Day!

    Tue 01 Mar 2022

The daffodil is the flower used to remind us of Wales as we think about

St David - the patron saint of Wales.

The daffodil also reminds us of Ukraine.

We continue to pray for peace.
