Our learning in Geography intends that pupils gain an awareness of the geography around them and how it relates to their lives.  At St John’s, we have the benefit of staff, parents and children from a wide range of diverse backgrounds who are willing and able to share their knowledge of Geography from around the world to support pupil’s ability to visualise locations that they haven’t visited and make links with their local knowledge as well as the curriculum they are taught in school. These backgrounds and communities have become the basis of our curriculum and our local area has inspired the fieldwork opportunities present from nursery all the way to Year 6.
