Complaints Policy & Whistleblowing Policy

St John's Primary School is a fully inclusive school with an Open Door policy and is committed to equal opportunities, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. If any parent or carer has any concerns, please do speak to your child's class teacher or a member of the Leadership Team, or the Headteacher, who will happily organise a mutually agreeable appointment to address these.

The School will:

  • Take all concerns and complaints seriously
  • make every attempt to resolve concerns by informal means without the need to use formal procedures
  • be fair, open and honest when dealing with any concern or complaint
  • give careful consideration to all concerns and complaints and deal with them as swiftly as possible, keeping people informed of progress
  • resolve any concern or complaint through dialogue and mutual understanding
  • deal with conerns and complaints in an impartial manner
  • ensure a full and thorough investigation is undertaken and address all points at issue
  • use the outcome of a complaint or concern to reflect on the services provided by the School and where it may be improved.
